After an interesting training session that morning Taichi decided to drop by the guild shop. As the morning started coming to an end the sun warmed up the air, it was another beautiful day in Magnolia. He felt good about today, feeling cheerful as he walked from his house to the shop, passing through the town with a jump in his step. The guild shop was close by the guild building in a public area where both Fairy Tail members and Citizens came to get the latest merchandise.
The shop wasn’t inside a building but was more like a market stand, but bigger! It was made of sturdy wooden planks and had many racks of merchandise in front and behind the counter. Tending to the shop was a male mage that enjoyed guild activities that involved communications, hence why he was in the guild shop, a good way to get in touch with many different people. He had short black hair with a pair of goggles above his forehead, and dark blue eyes that would remind many of the night sky. He waved at Taichi as he saw him approach.
“Abel! Long time no see!”
“Indeed. Did you come check out the latest merchandise? We have new belt buckles.”
“Huh really? Let’s have a look”
Abel lifted a box with the same buckle Taichi was already wearing, though instead of plain silver steel they were now available in various types of colours.
Taichi couldn’t help but chuckle at it “Interesting, interesting. But I can’t spend my jewels on things I don’t need now can I...”
“Oh? Then what are you here for? What could you possibly need other than a belt?”
Taichi nonchalantly leaned against the counter with his right arm, a bit of a naughty look on his face. “Oh.. You know.. The thing I asked about last time..?”
Abel couldn’t really recall anything, until his facial expression sunk like a man in quicksand. “You can’t be serious…”
Taichi grinned and blew his whistle. “Come on, it’s been weeks since I asked about it!”
Abel tried hard not to face palm at his ridiculous request. “How is a whistle any different from your belt, you already have one!” he sighed hoarsely. “It’s supply and demand Taichi.. So far you’re the only customer interested in buying a customized whistle. We need more demand if we are to supply, simple as that.”
Taichi leaned over the counter in disappointment and started to sob “Ah Abel… I thought we were friends.. Friends help each other out..” He softly and disappointedly blew his whistle, leaving Abel no other choice then to face palm.
