With a smirk at the opening, her talon met contact with his arm and she listened to the sound of fabric tearing and the pleasant sensation of claw to skin. Pulling away with a successful smile on her face, the Harpy's eyes met the boys with sheer defiance.
"I've been able to keep this jacket intact for two years..”
Taichi's voice caused the Harpy to laugh. Crossing her arms, she cocked her head to the side and watched him as he backed away.
"Chicken," With a scornful expression painted over her face, she got ready for the next set of attacks.
"Cutting right through my magic like that.. You really are tough” Taichi's compliment caused the Harpy to stare at him with an incredulous look. Such a thing said to her was enough to shock her.

"I guess that's what you get from the manifestation of wind," Noticing the coins beginning to falter; the harpy shifted her gaze towards Syana before looking over towards the Qilin and the Jackalope. The three beasts exchanged a look and the Jackalope and Qilin disappeared.
This time Taichi was running towards her and it felt like weight had lifted off her body. Leaping into the air and spinning around, her wings spread out and the air began to look visible; quivering and shaking as it took on a visible form. The colours were a dark grey and as it circled the harpy, it began to suck inward as well as bring items towards it.

If Taichi were to stand in distance, he may quite possibly be sucked into the vortex. Then again, he could use that to his advantage. Taking no chances, however, the Harpy moved her arms and faced them towards Taichi; the tornado began to slowly move off the coin and leave the harpy spinning in the air before landing gracefully. Watching the vortex as it began to set on a route towards Taichi.

Words couldn’t describe his disbelief when the harpy created an extremity like a tornado in a public park. Sure they were fighting in an open space, but that didn’t take away the risk of another civilian nearing their vicinity. He quickly looked around to see if anyone was close enough to fall victim to it, but thankfully it was just him. Moving away wasn’t an option however. If the Tornado was out for him then he would be endangering other civilians by running to another area. Since it wasn’t approaching very fast there was of course the possibility that it wouldn’t reach or strike them, but he couldn’t take that chance.

His feet spread apart in order to maintain a hold on himself as the vortex drew closer. His long cloak blowing violently in the wind as small rocks shot from the ground around him into the vortex, some hitting his back but his shield magic could manage it.
Taichi looked at the inevitable doom that was rushing towards him with large eyes and frustration, for he had never faced such a powerful attack before and knew he couldn’t stop it. “You’re kidding me right…”

He could barely hear his own words as even the sound coming from his mouth traveled along with the strong winds into the vortex, all his strength useless against the stronger growing gravitation. He started gliding over the ground as if there were wheels under his feet, unable to hold ground for long before he got lifted into the strong, circulating wind current. The intensity of the gravitational force was something he had never felt before, all his muscles tensing up as an automated physical response to try and keep his insides in place as his body was flung in circles at an incredible speed. He screamed from the top of his lungs, and even though it barely helped bearing with the extremity of the attack, it boosted his emotions. He could barely feel the pulse spreading from his core over his muscles because of how tense he was, the glow around his body forming large spikes that surrounded him like a human pincushion. It wasn’t any more effective than his previous shield against the Tornado, but it appeared instinctively for it was his go to technique in fights against other wizards.

The harpy felt the strength of the vortex change as Taichi was taken within the vortex's clutches. With her talons clenched; the vortex began to tremble and change form, something of great delight to the harpy. She felt Syana's cool gaze on her back as the woman watched from afar.
The vortex began to quiver and tremble as the man inside it spun around, clearly trying to fight the vortex current.

Finally the Harpy lifted her claws into the air, landing on the ground as she caused the vortex to tilt and sway in different forms. Slowly the current began to dissipate and slowly Taichi's body began to become visible within the tornado. Suddenly the tornado jolted and jerked and finally the last wind torrent began to show itself as the whole thing came to a blinding close.
The Harpy's mouth parted and as she turned her gaze towards Syana, she caught sight of the girl slowly fall onto the bench.
"That's not good," The harpy looked down at her talons and watched as her body began to fade into particles.
Lifting her gaze towards Taichi by this time would be either stuck in a tree or in a bush alongside other bits of debris, she lifted a taloned hand and faded into nothing.

Syana's magic was on its last limits by this time and finally the girl forced herself to sit up and wipe the sweat from her forehead with her sleeve.
She was tired and her head was in immense pains. She'd definitely have to train and refine her magic to grant her Harpy more freedom by herself.
This was noted and soon after Syana's eyes lifted towards the boy and a small smile formed across her face masking the strain.

The immense force of the vortex amplified the collision between Taichi and the rubble, his shield unable to protect him against it. He had his eyes closed, but even when he opened them he couldn’t see anything because of the speed. It didn’t take long before he started getting nauseous, the swaying of the tornado worse than a four-way-spinning fairground ride. Gradually the speed decreased as the tornado started to disband, sending Taichi flying into the air.

He landed frontally against a tree, the spikes that stuck out of his shield pinning him to the bark. Even though he was now at a halt, the world around him was still spinning wildly. He did realize he had come to a stop, but he was so disoriented that he didn’t know of his whereabouts. Thus as he disabled his shield he fell to the ground, this time landing on his back. He groaned in pain, his body full of cuts and bruises, his muscles cramped from the severity of tension, but the nausea was overwhelming his physical pain, his world still spinning minutes after the attack was stopped. He lay there for a while until the spinning slowed down enough for him to recognize the environment. As he turned over on his hands and knees as a prior measure to even attempt standing up the nausea got the better of him. In one long and violent ejection the contents of his stomach came pouring out, his eyes watery from the physical beat down his insides had taken.

After vomiting he felt a lot better, still dizzy and beat up, but the severity of the nausea had left his body. He stumbled back on his feet, trying to make his way to Syana, totally in vain. Seeing double would be an understatement in this case, making him walk about like a man who couldn’t hold his liquor. It was a miracle on itself that he didn’t step into his own vomit.

As the dizziness started to fade he managed to reach the bench his fellow guild member was seated on, a smile about the only manliness he could spawn in a situation like this. He couldn’t remember ever being this beat up, but that didn’t spoil his attitude. He tried to look Syana in the eyes, but since he saw multiple versions of her was looking left and right in her direction. “Whoa, five beautiful ladies, it’s my lucky day”
