No being rude and instigating fights. This includes, but is
not limited to: flaming, trolling, baiting, name-calling, religion bashing,
and member bashing. We have a zero-tolerance policy and
perpetrators will be dealt with upon investigation.
No meta-gaming. Metagaming seeks to provide shortcuts in role playing.
This includes, but is not limited to: performing a plan you decided on OOC
but not role playing coming up with the plan.
Swearing is allowed, but not in excess. We are not an R-rated site but
we are also not a bunch of ten-year-olds. Keep it in control. It is
fine if it is your character's personality to randomly shout profanities.
Just keep it within moderation, or you will be spoken to.
Erotic roleplay is not allowed. No one wants to see it
and it is in Proboard's Terms and Services.
Do not cheat. We are moderating an entire forum and grading multitudes of posts.
Do not change your level or somehow gain a spell without the required prerequisites.
YOU WILL BE CAUGHT AND YOU WILL BE BANNED!
We are a casual rp forum. but not illiterate. There is a 200 word minimum on
all posts.
The C-Box: it is a means of speaking with people on the
site without having to have everyone on a messenger. Here are the
rules for the C-Box:
a. No spamming.
b. No Religion bashing.
You can have an unlimited amount of characters. You can link up to
two different accounts to one account. These two new characters can
start out one rank lower than the original account. For example, if your
original account is A rank, then the two other accounts can start B rank.
Otherwise, your new character will start out as D rank.
All staff rulings are final. If you have a problem with how a situation
was handled, do not bring it to other members. You will only cause a larger fight
than necessary. Staff rulings, whether it is on a matter of complaint or a matter
of rule breaking, will almost always be final. Rulings can be repealed and handled
differently, but more than likely they will not. So, if we are being unfair, PM one
of the mods or admins. We will discuss it and either come up with another ruling
or give an explanation for our previous ruling.
All advertising must be done in the affiliate board. If you advertise
a RP site here, we reserve the right to deny it if you do not also allow us to
advertise on your site.
Do not join an ongoing battle Once a battle has started, no more players
may enter the thread. This is to avoid people complaining about being killed while in
a middle of an attack. If in doubt, PM me.
No attacking on an opening post: No one wants their character killed by someone who suddenly enters and attacks without being able to respond to it.
In time between each post is six seconds. You can have your character
think about his/her next move or use some spells.
Max Sig Area Size:
600w x 250h. Smaller is OK.
Large sig sizes, particularly images, can dramatically
slow loading times for users with slower connections. Having a sig
size limit reduces loading time for those on slower connections.
Also, sigs wider than this size stretch and distort the page.
Real Names
If you choose to, posting your real name is ok.
Posting other peoples real names, without their express permission, is not accepted.
Some people like to keep their real names private for security purposes. It is
unfair to those people if you just blurt out their names. If you allow your name
to be known, it is recommended you do not release your last name, as a measure of privacy.
Character bios take two approvals from staff members.
The admin has the power to veto any staff member rulings. It takes two
staff members to veto admin on customs and character bios.
Punishments
These are examples of punishments and NOT an order in which someone is punished.
1 - Warning. We PM you, tell you what you've done, and link you to said offense.
If not linkable, then you will see none. We will give you a chance to speak, but
this is just a warning, remember that.
2 - 33% Warning added to profile. This will be in effect for a period of time
decided by staff on the offense. It is nothing more than a system of seeing who
is falling out of line and how often they do it. It’s still a warning, but a public
one. Also, this percentage varies on the offense.
3 - Temporary ban. Should you get that magical 100% on your warning meter, we will
send you a message explaining what has happened and give all information, as well
as links, to inform you of your wrongdoing. Temporary bans can range from 3 days
to a week. The staff will discuss it in private to determine a fair ruling.
4 - Permanent ban. You will be gone permanently. No re-dos, no do-overs.
We exert the right to do this when necessary. Anyone that
is unhealthy for the forum will be removed.
Procedures
Any and all warnings you receive through PM from our staff list are real.
They are not a joke. We do not have time to send out PMs just for the
fun of it. Here is what a PM from us will contain:
The offense, a link to the thread where the rules were broken, and a verbal
warning from a staff member.
That is how a warning in a PM will go. Now, if you see that you have a
warning bar over your name, here's what you'll find if you look in your
account notes on your account:
You will find the date of the offense, as well as who posted this warning.
It'll also be listed when the warning will be lifted.
If you have any questions, do not hesitate to PM me.
