◉◉ Name: Deion Ryder
◉◉ Nickname: Not Applicable At This Time.
◉◉ Gender: Male
◉◉ Age: Twenty-Eight
◉◉ Blood Type: O Negative
◉◉ Level: A
◉◉ Guild: Griffin Wing
◉◉ Personality:Calculating. One of the various words applicable to describe Deion Ryder. He is consistently evaluating and reevaluating the things around him. He shows a keen interest in gathering data and analyzing the skills and abilities of other people, seeking to pinpoint the strengths and weaknesses they possess. He seems very inclined to do what it takes to analyze and gather this data, whether its allowing others to take hits and suffer simply so he can gain an understanding. He also seems to take great pleasure in it, making note of the durable of others and wondering if he can improve it. His mind tends to think in erratic, quick-paced bursts as he does this due to the fact he'll process the information and remember it. He does enjoy explaining information and the results of his data to others, and also the effects of the various drugs and poisons he employs.
Deion can be very sadistic, inside and outside of battle. Inside battle he frequently goads his opponents and brings up the subject of utilizing them as effective test subjects to see the results of his researches. He seems quite fond of that line, often making quotes on what it would be like to make them suffer for as long as he could. He also comes off as carefree, but is always serious about battle despite how he acts. Outside of battle his sadistic streak seems to extend to people he doesn't like or people that piss him off. Either way, he is quick to watch them suffer and annoy them by teasing them with his various tools, even going so far as to offering to cut out their tongue if they keep talking too much.
Though he doesn't seem to care if people he's working with get hurt or affected by his tools, magic and weapons, he still offers to help them albeit in his own twisted and cruel way. There are some people he does respect and will react much quicker and kinder to, additionally showing them an attitude he does not provide to others. He typically reserves this kind of respect for a leader or something along that line. Though he does ask and offer to perform various experiments on them, he typically does it on the basis that it will assist them, such as administering a drug that would protect them from any adverse effects.
His stance on guilds is very practical. He doesn't really bear any ill will towards dark guilds and their mages. He may not outright criminalize them but if they were to interfere with his work or get in his way, he would certainly like to experiment on them. Though he does see little purpose in actively hunting them down, he likely would not do so unless someone he was working alongside made a request of it. Deion feels it is none of his concern what those dogs do, so long as they do it away from him and don't bother him. Unless they want to end up as a very useful instrument of science and medical research.
Deion is very driven by research and development, along with experimentation. Though many would consider his favourite activities to be inhuman and horrible, he is quick to dismiss such idle notions. He despises the notion that his research is invalid simply because of his methods, and often states he doesn't understand whats wrong since most of the people he tests on have tried to kill him before or were foolish enough to try and commit some form of criminal act. He is quick to dismiss the concerns of others and frequently claims that he's a very talented doctor if you enjoy coming out of something with an extra limb or feel like donating a kidney.
He also has a strong hatred for the Magic Council, likely due to the fact that they would label him a criminal and place a bounty upon his head. He dislikes interacting with their lot, tends to avoid Rune Knights like they're a plague. Though he certainly would like to experiment on their forces should they make any such move against him. He would not hesitate to witness their forces fall victim to his various drugs and poisons.

◉◉ History: Deion Ryder, born to his unnamed parents, hails from Technicolor Village in West Fiore. He spent his relatively unassuming childhood in the care of his parents. For what he can remember, he desperately misses those times compared to how he's been. He had a home, a caring family and friends. A sense of community. He absolutely enjoyed it. That was, up until a fire consumed his family and his home. He lost everything in that swift moment, becoming an orphan. Consumed by grief, over the loss of his family and his home, Deion fled Technicolor Village, wanting to leave all those memories behind. He spent a lot of time crying and trying to move on from his loss. He travelled across Fiore, making stop in Harujion and Magnolia for supplies. He began to train himself to be a mage, as from what he understood mages could join guilds. He thought a guild might be like a replacement for a family, something he craved was interaction with other people who didn't judge him based on his appearance.
He took on various small jobs and whatnot, wishing to grow stronger to impress a guild so that he could join them. That, was when Deion realized there was two different kinds of guilds. Legal guilds like Fairy Tail and Lion Heart, or illegal guilds like Phantom Cloak. He also heard some wizards are affiliated with the government. Though he didn't have a strong appreciation for the government, he was indifferent towards what king of guild he joined, legal or illegal. He really wasn't sure what the guilds were like, only vaguely hearing things about them. Lion Heart sounded like a promising name, but he was turned off by the suits and whatnot. He considered going straight to Fairy Tail, as he had been in their town before and met some of their wizards, but decided against it. He didn't really know much about a dark guild like Phantom Cloak, only understanding that they were considered the bad guys and wasn't sure if there would be any sense of community there.
Thus, Deion resolved to train and become stronger. He would become stronger to join a guild, and make new, lasting bonds with others. He no longer wanted to feel like he had nothing. With the vivid memories of the fire in his mind, he finally put it behind him for the time being, travelling back to Technicolor Village and facing his ghosts, paying his respects and saying good-bye to his former family, vowing on the spot to find his place in this amazing and confusing world. He eventually found himself almost recruited into Fairy Tail, though he found a much better offer after a magical disease plagued the southern lands of Fiore. After it was resolved, Deion met with then Guild Master of Griffin Wing Riley Aqulia and pledged his talents to their cause.

◉◉ Mage Type:A magic whose nature is neither inherently good or evil, rather a neutral force that's applications would influence its nature. The magic being employed is designed as a charge in its typical manner, able to be held in specific parts of the body or a specially designed weapons and equipments. This charge typically must make near-physical contact to take any effect against a target. It leaves no visible scars on the external of the body, as it passes through the skin and damages the internals. This means that the user of this magic can target the various systems that form the body, their functionality and disrupt them. With strong enough blows, the magic can kill of course, with vital organs typically being prime targets for a killing blow or even to incapacitate a foe. Thus, this magic is only effective against targets that are organic and have functioning internal organs and systems such as the nervous system.
The magic can be focused or unfocused. Unfocused, the magic is much stronger, larger and visible. It will naturally deal more damage but is unrefined and harder to control. It is much easier to operate using refined and precise versions of the magic, such as charging the body or weapon. However, some use more unrefined magic attacks, referred to as shots.
Shot-based Grim Reaper Magic carries the same properties, except it is launched as a ranged attack. The shape and effective can vary based on how refined and controlled the magic is, versus how loose and unpredictable the mage desires the effect to be. Refined shots are typically designed to affect the targets body from the distance, are smaller and travel faster. Depending on the shape they take it may become harder to see them. The unrefined, larger and unpredictable versions of the shots frequent being slower but more damaging, requiring more time to prepare them and if backfiring, being notorious for affecting the caster's body.
Lastly, the magic can be given a solid form. This can range from forming weapons made of the magic charge, making physical attacks other than basic charges and attacks that aren't considered Shot-based, and other such attacks that can't be classified as above. These retain the same properties and effects, however some are incapable of passing through the body and simply apply minor damage per turn on being in contact with the target, or are designed to inhibit, limit or control the target in some way.
Because this magic disrupts the flow of magic in comes into contact with to breach the body and reach its intended targets, it has several adverse side effects on the user. For example, the magic is consistently flowing through their body, and allied magic has trouble influencing or affecting them with the full effects, meaning that someone trying to heal the mage would have their healing effects reduced to 1/4th of their effectiveness. However, as a by-product of the magic traveling through the body they are capable of regenerating their own damage out of combat by two-fold. This magic can also be used to heal has other various applications beyond causing damage.
The magic itself cannot pierce through other magics. Because of its nature as being disruptive, it typically can disrupt the magic it collides with but also get disrupted itself and needs to be recast. Meaning for example, if the target cloaks themselves in their magic then this magic cannot deal damage as long as the cloak remains. The same applies to armor, albeit at a lesser degree that the magic can and will breach it depending on how sturdy and thick the armor is. Typically the magic's damaged is reduced to 1/4th while trying to pass through armor. Weapons are stranger, with shields having the same effect as armor, blocking 1/4th of the damage. Other weapons typically reduce the damage to 1/2 or 1/3rd, rarely do they reduce it to 1/4th. As a note, any armor or weapon that can be empowered by magic can disrupt much like mentioned before, however the magic must be flowing through the weapon to have any effect.
Due to this crucial weakness, the mage typically employs the use of a specialized weapon that is locked to their rank. It is designed to allow the magic to flow through it and act as an extension of the body, but also be a back-up if they are unable to use their magic. The material and design of the weapon is typically up to its creator. The weapon must be created and purchased by the mage as it is not free. Historically, a scythe has been the favored weapon though swords and other weapons are quite commonplace.
