The sun was coming down from the bright blue sky. The color of the sky turning into a navy blue. The clouds above transforming into shades of orange, pink, and purple. A spectral worthy of an artists skills and admiration. A deep sigh was exhaled from Zari's lips as he thought this thought. He was no artist and was not good with such a complex task. It was foreign to him. Yet the ability to use planar geometry, angle manipulation and the ability to craft a trap with such skills and more? Twas his nature and pleasure. Though it took him some time with the assistance of the villagers, Zari was able to construct a make shift tower. Crafted from simple branches, sticks scrap metals, and string. Atop the tower was a single mirror. Average yet clean and clear. Below the tower was a system using two strings, a number of pulleys, and other smaller mechanisms. By pulling one string or the other, the mirror adorning the construct would turn slightly to the right, or left.
Using his knowledge for practical, Zari had been setting behind a bush for roughly twenty minutes. The local people have been dealing with Skritt lately. The Rat-folk seemed to be causing so much grief they put up a bounty for anyone to help them. And since they did nor request strictly violent methods, just a retrieval mission, Zari took the job. And thusly, went to work on the trap. He was not familiar with the area and the Skritt were becoming more bold. The healer thought more cleaver as well. With time, one of the Skritt would come and see the sparkling mirror. Wishing to steal it for their own joy. When this happens Zari will follow the creature from the shadows back to it's home in order to complete the mission.
Lying in wait, Zair was on his stomach, occasionally playing with the strings in order to maximize his range of effect. Since the sun was setting and was his only source of light to reflect. A large rolled up bag was beside him on the ground. The designated sack he took in order to maximize the haul he sought to retrieve. He looked at it for a moment. Wondering if it was going to be good enough. Until the sound of a person, animal, or other came from across the small clearing the tower stood in.
