As the midday sun rolled through the clouded sky, a young mother walked with her child into the newly furbished pharmacy. The fresh flowers blossomed as a young man, Zari, sat behind a counter crushing herbs and roots. As the woman approached, Zari placed down his tools before reaching into his pocket for his eye-patch. Quickly throwing it onto his face, the part-time alchemist turned around with his melancholy face. Looking to the mother and child he instantly stood up and walked over to them. They were familiar. The woman had came in yesterday looking for some medicine in regards to her son's cold. A mild case, the doctor informed the owner. A simple mixture should be well enough for the job at hand. The owner, an elder man, had already crafted the mixture last night and left it out for them today. "Hello." The woman said with a slight tone of discomfort with Zari's one-eyed stare. "I am here for my son's medicine. I was in here last night."
"Ah yea. I know. This is for...Christopher correct?" He asked while reading the name of the boy off the white bag to his side. With an assured nod of the head, the brunette woman pulled out her purse and presented twenty-five Jewel. Which Zari would take before placing the small bag of medication into her hand. Until now he had kept his eyes on the aging figure of the woman. Yet now he turned his eye to the child, whom obviously looked sick. Red nosed, crust-coated eyes, and pale skin. The very appearance of the lad gave Zari a visible shiver. How sick could one kid be to get like that?" Reaching over to the flower vase, Zari plucked and then lowered down a blue flower for the child. "In my family, blue flowers help people heal faster. Get well soon young boy." Offering a small wave paired with a level lip, Christopher and his mother both left the pharmacy quickly.
A sigh escaped the young man's lips before he returned to his work. Making a new batch of pulls and potions.
